blog week three

I'm really looking forward to putting together a video this week. I mean the writing has been fun and I love putting the story to, however I find putting a video together much more appealing.
This past week hasn't been the funniest week so far because the editing isn't as fun as the rest of the process.

Madeline's blog- week two

My favorite part of this week was when Heidie and I went on our interviews. First we rushed over to a coffee shop on 12th street, but too bad the person we were interviewing was late. It was especially interesting to talk to her because at the end she told us that she knew some people that worked with journalism around Philadelphia. She told us if we wanted to meet them all we had to do was ask.
Heidie’s interview was pretty fun too. The guy at the front desk did not know anything about the building he was working at. He did not even have a phone on the desk. He pulled out a huge book of names and it took at least seven minutes before he asked us to call our contact, but once we got up there it was fun because all the people were very nice.

Madeline's Blog- week one

“Are you doing a scavenger hunt?” A mall cop in the gallery stopped me while I was on my knees taking a picture through a trash can. I told him that I was and he continued say that basically he never sees anyone taking a picture through a trashcan unless there was a reason. The scavenger hunt was one of the greatest activities this week. However, As much as I love taking pictures, I like writing and interviewing people more. The aspect of talking to people and learning everything about everything trumps seeing the world through a lense.
Another part of the week that I loved was the day that we had to interview a random person. Abby and I talked to a technician at CBS news. I enjoyed that because he told us about the laws involved with journalism. The explained how the laws changed from each state and when that affects his job.
